KVKK and GDPR Practical Seminar for HR Professionals

We held a seminar at Çırağan Palace on 18th of February Tuesday, 2020 exclusively for HR professionals.

In this seminar which was enhanced with the expertiese and knowledge we have in the field of Human Resources along with the compliance services we offer on personal data protection laws and relevant processes, we discussed the significance of having processes adapted with the KVKK and GDPR requirements, the points to be considered in regards, the measures to be taken, and restructuring the HR proccesses, with the presentations of our managing partners Selim T. Akdağ, Burcu Özel and our expert consultants from our data protection compliance team.

While discussing in detail how the protection of personal data will shape HR practices and aiming to raise awareness in the field of data protection; we have emphasized how crucial it is today to ensure the adequate use of technology, security measures and technological infrastructure investments in the field of human resources, once again.

In this age, where data privacy becomes more important every day, saying "Think, Before Click!", we evaluated what organizations can do in the privacy area and how processes should be shaped according to the different dynamics of each sector together with our participants

Nevşehir Municipality Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) Awareness Seminar

We have conducted a seminar where our CEO Selim T. Akdağ was the keynote speaker. The seminar presented to the municipality staff was regarding "Personal Data Protection Law" which is in force in Türkiye, aiming to raise awareness on the law and the implications of the law.

In order to adapt with the fast paced digital world which constantly adapted to newly released technologies, the Nevşehir Municipality also informed and enlightened its staff with the "KVKK Awareness Training".

The aim was not only focused on the right of privacy, but to find a collaborative approach on raising an awareness for the municipality in general for conducting the services provided to the fellow citizens, within the scope of the data protection regulations and managing, processing personal according to the rules and procedures demanded by the law.

Within the scope of the program, the attendees were provided with in depth information on definition of Personal Data, why personal data shall be protected, the relevant law, KVKK and surrounding legislations, key actors defined in the Law, rights of the Data Subject, Administrative Responsibilities along with the the technical and administrative measures and required developments in order to have compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).

Personal Data Protection Seminar for the Büyükçekmece Municipal

CottGroup^® and DDI Teknoloji collaborated together in conducting a symposium on "Persoanl Data Protection Law" for the Büyükçekmece Municipal Authority in Istanbul.

Büyükçekmece Municipality raised an awareness on "Personal Data Protection Law", KVKK, on assuring rights of protection with in-service training for not only the municipality staff but also for the civils who are benefiting from the services rendered by the Municipality.

In his opening speech, the Büyükçekmece Mayor Dr. Hasan Akgün; highlighted the significance on the need of protection of personal data and rights of freedoms in line with the immersive usage of internet nowadays. He concluded his speech with the importance of the KVKK (law on personal data protection, numbered 6698) and that as the municipality they are very aware on what needs to be done to comply with the required measures, once again marking that every single citizen shall become conscious on the implications of the law.
