In the beginning of April 2016, the question of how sensitive personal data shall be protected arose when the personal information of over 50 million Turkish citizens was released on internet. Coincidently, around the same date the Turkish state released new legislation on how to protect personal information. The legislation entitled the Protection Of Personal Data was published on April 7, 2016 in the Legal Turkish Newspaper and is based on the European Union Commission and EU Parliament’s 95/46/EC numbered, October 24, 1995 dated Directive on the protection of the free movement of personal information and its process.

The Condition of "Employment of Ten or More Workers" Required to Make Benefit of Additional Six Points Insurance Premium Incentive has been Changed!

The conditions for making benefit of the incentive have been changed by the Law No.6663 on Amending Income Tax Law and Certain Other Laws published in the official Gazette dated 10.02.2016.

Social Security Institution (SGK) circular No: 2016 – 04 regarding Minimum Wage Support is issued on 10.02.2016.

Practice principles in Article 17 on the Law With Regard To Amending Some Laws and Article 68 that has been added to the Law ad interim have been elaborated. As we have stated in our previous announcement, with the addition of this article, main subject of the incentive that shall be provided only in 2016 is as below.

The General Health Insurance entered into force as of 12/1/2012 with the Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Act no. 5510. It covers all persons residing in Türkiye. Before the concerned act was put into effect, there were persons who were not subject to any insurance branch under 4/a, 4/b or 4/c. With the General Health Insurance, all persons residing in Türkiye have been taken into insurance coverage.
