Marriage Savings Account and Government Benefit
Beneficiaries:
- Turkish Citizens
- Those within the scope of 5901 Law on Turkish Citizenship, article 28 (blue-card owners).
Eligibility:
- To open a Turkish currency 'marriage savings' bank account with a bank that is within the scope of Law on Banking no. 5411
- To keep the account active for a minimum of 3 years
- To have gotten married before turning 27
- To apply to the bank following official marriage
The Government can contribute up to 20% of the marriage savings account balance. The maximum amount is capped at 5.000 TL (the maximum amount is revised annually. The Cabinet is authorized to increase the maximum amount up to three times).
Ban on Seizure:
Provided that the eligibility conditions are justified, the entire government support balance and the marriage savings account balance portion, that amounts to annual minimum wage salary cannot be seized, pledged or made subject to bankruptcy proceedings.
Home Savings Account and Government Benefit
- First-time home-buyers that hold Turkish citizenship
Eligibility:
- To open a Turkish currency 'home savings' bank account with a bank that is within the scope of Law on Banking no. 5411
- To keep the account active for a minimum of 3 years
- Use the funds in buying a residential house within the borders of Türkiye
Amount:
Child Birth Benefit
- Turkish citizen / blue-card holder parent of a new born
- If both parents are Turkish, only mother.
300 TL for the first child
400 TL for the second child
600 TL for the third child
