JANITOR’S WORKINGPLACES ARE INCLUDED IN EASY EMPLOYERSHIP

As is known, janitors’ workplaces were included in easy employer-ship with the regulation made by Art.68 of 7103 numbered Law on additional Art.9 of Social Securities and General Health Insurance Law (the “Law”). The procedure and principles to be applied for the janitors’ workplaces with the 2019/6 numbered Circular published on 05.03.2019 by Social Security Institution (“SSI”).

The janitors along with the workplaces that are employing them (apartment management) can easily manage the insurance transactions and processes online and can save time by paying online. While this application is entered into force on 01.03.2019, the workplace declaration transactions cannot be made via online system yet. Although the transition to easy employer-ship is not mandatory, it is not permitted to back into the old system namely Monthly Premium Service Document and MuhSgk (Withholding SSI), after registering into the new system.

After submitting workplace registration declarations via SSI system, the apartment managers could get necessary passwords to access “Easy Employer-ship” system via e-government (online portal). The total working days and gross salary of the employees shall be stated through online system. According to this information, the SSI shall regulate monthly premium and service declarations automatically each month. The janitors whom are under easy employer-ship, shall be subject to the same conditions with the other SSI insured employees.

The apartment managers shall be able to get 959,40-TL premium incentive for 12 months in case they employ a janitor who is unemployed for last 3 months; and they will be entitled to benefit from the related incentive amount as 978,82-TL since they are exempt from the stamp tax.

As a conclusion, the officially registered workplaces shall record insured’s total working days and the amount subject to social security to the system via https://uyg.sgk.gov.tr/IsverenSistemi. Afterwards they shall be entitled to pay premiums without submitting any additional documents unless any change occurs in related parameters.
